Half-night Camp is an annual event conducted once a year in our school Dubai Scholars. It is completely organized and planned by students in 11th grade. As it has been and always will continue to be half-night
camp was spectacular. It was filled with wins and losses, hurrahs and woes. Half-night camp this year began at 3:00 pm.
camp was spectacular. It was filled with wins and losses, hurrahs and woes. Half-night camp this year began at 3:00 pm.
We lined up on the field with our respective teammates and started off the match with cricket in both Pool A and Pool B. Cricket was played in both pools splendidly, tens of sixes and hundreds of fours were hit. All while listening to some uplifting and encouraging music on the speakers. We then moved to round two of half-night camp and played football.
The time passed by so quickly and before we knew it we had reached half-time. Everyone was exhausted but still, we were determined to give it
our best and make sure that our team did not lose no matter what. So
we gave it our all and some teams won and some didn’t. It was now 5:00 pm and time for our mid-camp snack.
It was a box of treats from Roma’s Confectionary. We finished our snacks and moved on to round three of half-night camp.
Round three was basketball in Pool B and
hockey in Pool A. All teams played superiorly in both sports. By the time
the two teams finished the third round it was 6:00 pm. Sadly, that
meant there were only two hours left to go. We moved on to round 4
and gave it our all since it was the last and final round for this year’s
half-night camp. Round 4 included basketball in Pool A and hockey in
Pool B. After round 4 everyone was covered in sweat, some had
bruises, some had smiles on their faces, and some didn’t. To finish off
the camp we were delighted to find out that we were given biryani for
our dinner. In the end, Rayyan Abbasi's team in Pool A won first place
and Pool B Qasim’s team won first.
